Aisle runners that don't bunch, chair feet that don't sink, a sound system that beats sea breeze — the details that make a beach ceremony look effortless are entirely unglamorous. We keep a dedicated kit on site, tested through forty ceremonies and counting. Heel caps for guests walking the lawn are handed out with the welcome drinks.
Dry-season rain on Mindil is rare but not mythical, which is why every booking holds a contingency space — garden pavilion or glassed terrace — at no charge. The decision point is 48 hours out, made together, and it has been needed exactly twice in three seasons.
The beach lawn holds 180 beautifully. Beyond that the intimacy the setting promises starts to thin — for larger celebrations we shift the ceremony to the garden terrace and keep the beach for photographs.
Not the centrepieces — the moment. The barefoot bridal party, the horizon going copper mid-vow, champagne appearing the second the celebrant steps back. Our job is making sure nothing interrupts it: no wind-blown signage, no missing rings, no microphone feedback at the worst possible second.
